The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

Synopsis:

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan’s life. Having missed her flight, she’s stuck at JFK airport and late to her father’s second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley’s never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport’s cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he’s British, and he’s sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

If you want to read a book that is 80% boring and 20% interesting, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU. I finished reading this last night and all I can say is… It’s a waste of time.

Yeah, yeah. The grammar’s good, the characters were well-developed - except for the male protagonist and it’s one of those cute love stories in an airport setting.

But it was ought to be a book ‘bout a love story. Not a collection of Hadley’s rants and complaints about her father and Charlotte. Her relationship with Oliver was not strengthened along with the boy’s character. Yes, they have fallen in love for each other in just 24 hours so Ms. Smith kept things realistic. But a little too realistic. It’s a fiction book so you can write whatever you want as long it’s for the improvement of the story.

Ugh. I should have just finished reading first Warm bodies or Tuesdays with Morrie than TSPOLAFS.

Score: 6/10
